My best bud, Nick Wong, asked me to blog bout this. Haha. Well, most of you should know what does that number mean. Honestly to me, it’s just a ‘+1′ thing now each year. I’m way past the look forward to celebrate it with banners & stuff. LOL. So yeah, 33, great, haha. Rant done. Nothing to see, keep moving ppl.
McD ‘killed’ Prosperity! *Updated*
by isaac on Jan.19, 2010, under Rant
Yesterday (18 Jan 2010) lunch time, me & Nick Wong decided to go grab some McD. It was a spur of the moment thing, either chicken rice or McD. Chicken rice lost, badly. LOL. Anyway, we both are fans of the Prosperity Burger which usually comes out 1 month before Chinese New Year. Though the quality have been dropping & the price increasing, we still enjoy it though not as often as before. This time it came out like end of last year (Nov 2009) which was a surprise. Now with the McValue Lunch deal though, it’s back on our list of ‘Stuff Must Eat As Often As We Can‘.

Went to the drive through McD near UMS, first thing I noticed when I got in, there seems to be no picture of Prosperity anywhere. Hmm… can it be? They have ‘killed’ Prosperity? It’s less than a month to go to Chinese New Year! How can this be? Double checking with the counter staff confirmed our worst nightmare. ‘It’s out of stock’. WTH? McD your inventory management SUCKS big time man. Not sure if this is true with all branches of McD but what a let down! A freaking major Boo Boo, someone needs to be fried for this!
UPDATE 22/01/2010: Ok it’s been confirmed to be a shortage ONLY at the McD drive through UMS outlet. Maybe by now they also have restocked who knows. Hehe. Also Double Prosperity coming real soon & it’s going to be on the McValue Lunch menu!!! At least have excuse to eat that now but I have to warn ya, it’s REALLY filling.
A New Year!
by isaac on Jan.02, 2010, under Rant, Thoughts
Happy New Year peeps! Can’t believe another year has just blew past. I thought I could post a few more posts before the new year came along, but my laptop decided to take a holiday first. The victim of the now infamous Nvidia ‘Bumpgate’ issue. Feel free to click on the link if you do not know about this phenomenon. Thankfully, Dell managed to fix my laptop on 31/12/2009, giving me more cheers for the new year.
I took the final week of last year off, to burn some extra leave I had & to also get some R&R. Managed to watch 2 great movies, Sherlock Holmes & Avatar. Also tried out a cinema that I didn’t put much hope on & it surprised me. Haha. I guess there’s still room for improvement but I’ll talk about that & the movies in another post.
Finally, I kind of completed my collection of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen figures, at least the ones I really wanted to get in 2009. Though to be honest, I do not think I can ever say it’s complete, depending on what I want to add more with the upcoming figures still to be released. Looks like I’ve gone Transformers crazy again, like I did some 15 years ago. But I have to say, the figures now are an amazing work of engineering, vehicles that can transform into robots that look like the actual robot & have great articulation to boot! 15 years back, these figures are just vehicles that look good but transform into some robot that have a vague resemblance to the character it’s supposed to be. Worse, articulation is almost non-existent. The most you can do is move the arms of the robots, if you’re lucky. Now, I’m constantly awed by the creativeness in which they can manage to get these figures designed. And I found myself in love again, with Transformers figures.
I guess this is an appetizer so to speak, so that I can structure my upcoming posts based on stuff from this posts. LOL. Ah well, have to start somewhere right? Here are some pics to wet your appetite more, hopefully.
