Transformers! Part 1
by isaac on Jan.08, 2010, under Figures
Finally, I’m gonna be posting something about my Transformers collection. But before I start, I think I should give a crash course on the classes they are divided into, as I’ll be using these terms all the time. Don’t worry, it’s really short, I promise.
Legends Class. Small & tiny, about 8cm tall in robot mode. Kind of cute & transformable, but nothing complicated. What can you expect from this kind of size eh?
Deluxe Class. The main line of the figures. Height varies as it depends on the character. Not really correct in terms of scale though. But this is where transformation wise, it gets interesting. Some really cool looking figures in this line, eg. Sideswipe.
Voyager Class. A bigger figure means more complex transformation & more details, exactly what this class delivers. But for twice the price of a Deluxe Class figure.
Leader Class. It’s big! But still not the biggest. Stands around 25cm tall in robot mode, these figures feature amazing detail & freaking complicated transformations. It’s really a chore to transform, like the Optimus Prime figure I have. This class is the 1st class to feature electronic sounds & lights, something I’m not particularly fond of, but my kids love it.
Human Alliance. Not really a class but a new line that features Voyager Class sized figures with a human sidekick. The gimmick is the human sidekick can ride in the car & on the arms of the robots to man the weapons, so to speak. Looks cool though. Hehe.
There are more classes that you can refer to here & here. I will not talk bout those as I’m not interested in them. Course done!
Pics? Haha, don’t worry I didn’t forget them. It took me longer than expected to post these as I decided to reshoot my collection using my new N86 instead of using back the old N73 pics. So to start off, here are the Legends Class figures, together with Leader Class Optimus Prime, just to show the size difference. Then there’s also a pic of Legends Optimus ‘combined’ with Legends Jetfire. Haha! If it can be called combined. Enjoy!

Haha yeah, even the tiny Legends class can combine, though it’s really just Jetfire in vehicle mode being attached to Optimus’s back. LOL!
Yeap, definitely big size difference, exactly what I wanted to show. But the Legends class figures are really cute, size wise. Legends Optimus features pretty interesting transformation as well.
